You made it Rosie - what an adventure, what what a unique adventurer - not constrained by the need to pedal every meter, not bound by an unchangeable attitude to the journey, but embracing every mile, be it solo, with new friends or with old friends, but embracing the journey, embracing the adventure, embracing LIFE 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for the enduring support, Jane! And for reminding me that whenever things get tough, somewhere deep down there’s a little boy in a pink dress who’s tougher than he thinks 😉
Thank God you are not a 'Proper Adventurer' - my goodness you write well and all that not knowing stuff sounds alarmingly like wisdom. What a great journey Jake. Well done!
Brilliant Jake - a superb ending! And even if it was months behind the time, I really enjoyed your journey and insights! Sad that the final picture does not show the gorgeous lad that you are!
Thank you so much, Gail! And to think, I thought I’d have it done by Christmas! I’ll be back in your neck of the woods at some point soon… you mark my words 😎
Thanks so much, Steve! So great to have you as such a dedicated supporter. So appreciate you for keeping up with it all… and for keeping me up in the process 🙏
Well done, young man. Your journey will have had a marked influence. What next? What was your choice at the end, a hot bath or a long uninterrupted shower?
Many congrats, Jake - what an adventure! When I left corporate life (many years ago) my brother sent me a Christmas card (with camels) saying "look for journeys, not destinations". You too have lived that truth, and are still living it now. But you are also "that fella that's ridden from London" - and you always will be! What an achievement. Great work, comrade! XX
Woo hoo! well done Jake. That must feel good to have completed. A truly wonderful read, you write so beautifully. I’m hoping you will be continuing writing on Substack, which I have also grown to love, thanks to your introduction. What an adventure!

If it’s wisdom, then you can bet it’s received! Some pretty wise people around me, I’m lucky enough to say. Thank you, Phillip. Such kind words 💟

5 months late isn't too bad!🤣 And we will hold you to that visit!!! And look forward to it!!
Fantastic, enjoyed your wonderful writing about a proper adventure. What an achievement. Well done. Cx
Thank you dear Carole — it was a pleasure to share. Thanks for the patience 😎

Long and very uninterrupted shower! Until I realised the full length unfrosted window pointing on to the garden… and my green fingered hosts 🫣
Next is much more of the same… though in a more forgiving setting. I can be reassuringly predictable 😉
This is so great. You’re a fantastic writer.
Still kicking around London?
Thanks, Arthur! In parts, yes, although the summer has a more continental centre of gravity — with Madonna in tow, of course…
Thank you for sharing your adventure with us
Great to have you along for the ride, Keith!
Very nice; love your metaphors. Looking forward to your first book ;-) Keep on cycling and writing!
I intend to do both! Thank you, Ide. So glad you enjoyed 💟
